How to Glaciate

Instructions for putting the past on ice

If you find yourself fallen

Sweaty with delirium

Slowing as your vital energy's depleted

When your face burns black from

Impotent screaming

Bewildered, desperate

Blood boiling in turmoil and doubt

Know, hope remains

⋆꙳•̩̩͙❅*̩̩͙‧͙ ‧͙*̩̩͙❆ ͙͛ ˚₊⋆

Arise, face the north wind

Through the swirling backdraft of

Life's burning inequities

Seek through eyes unsheilded

Feel with heart unsheathed

Tread upon your fears and failures

Trudge through ash-marred slush

⋆꙳•̩̩͙❅*̩̩͙‧͙ ‧͙*̩̩͙❆ ͙͛ ˚₊⋆

Let every spike and plume of heat

Disperse

Let ice and snow accumulate

Encrust and steady your gait

Become steadfast in purpose

Solid of path

Ascend the face of fate, determined

Never swerving or slowing

Irrespective of terrain or hindrance

Stone, turf, torrential bouts

Let shotgun sprays of hailstones

Imposing spouts down new pathways

Drench and wash the flames away

Press on through the clinging haze

Glide through the blinding blizzard

Let it harden the flicking tongue

Of scorching bygone days

⋆꙳•̩̩͙❅*̩̩͙‧͙ ‧͙*̩̩͙❆ ͙͛ ˚₊⋆

Crystals will form

Creep up capillaries

Solidify skin and muscle

In opalescent introspection

Each amorphous

Sentimental remembering

Become moments falling in pristine flakes

Coating eyelashes and lips

Exponentially branching expansion

No room for rumination

Crystal highways extinguish

Every trace of fiery fear

Slowly encased in ice

Accumulating in layers

Pain extinguished in

The absence of heat

⋆꙳•̩̩͙❅*̩̩͙‧͙ ‧͙*̩̩͙❆ ͙͛ ˚₊⋆

The cozy agony and dread

You've long clothed yourself in

Will slowly and completely shed

Depart in a blizzard of fiber shards

Grasping branches

Snag straightjacket sleeves

Shattered and ferried

Cotton and wool flurries

Scatter on the biting breeze

⋆꙳•̩̩͙❅*̩̩͙‧͙ ‧͙*̩̩͙❆ ͙͛ ˚₊⋆

Raw pink and red transform

Leaving untainted white

And palpable glacial blue

The future, stark

Spiritually renewed

⋆꙳•̩̩͙❅*̩̩͙‧͙ ‧͙*̩̩͙❆ ͙͛ ˚₊⋆

Follow the haunted sound of

My prevenient ascension

Creaking frozen pings ring

Every sensory input

Mimicking genuine warmth

Cheeks rush robin's egg

Beads of ice pour with exertion

Trail quakes with reverberation

The song of ice played under pressure

Whizzing shots of icy thoughts

Bounce off scarred crags

Echoing through deeply gashed canyons

Playing on lusterous ice-bound lakes

The dance of glancing sonic zings

Continue to scale the face

Let the steam of rage sublimate

Dissipate into the ether

As every inexplicably fluid motion

Forces whistling cantos from the

Arctic Ocean of your heart

The eerie echoing call of our

Transformative melodies

Precede thunderous cracks

And breathtaking scraping

Ice on ice, grinding joints

And crackling white strands once

Flowing and crimson

⋆꙳•̩̩͙❅*̩̩͙‧͙ ‧͙*̩̩͙❆ ͙͛ ˚₊⋆

You could collapse

It's true

Into a scattering slop of

Sleet and snow

You won't

If you don't lose focus

Hold each note in your heart

Undauntedly march on

Purge all pain into the sun

⋆꙳•̩̩͙❅*̩̩͙‧͙ ‧͙*̩̩͙❆ ͙͛ ˚₊⋆

While chunks and chips

May break away

Falling, interrupting ridging sastrugi

As you unflinchingly transcend

Never glancing behind

Drawn, inherently to the

Zenith of frozen time

⋆꙳•̩̩͙❅*̩̩͙‧͙ ‧͙*̩̩͙❆ ͙͛ ˚₊⋆

With each neutralizing step

I was rebuilt

Now the same hoary precipitation

Will anoint and glaze you

Head to foot

The lack of heat

Formerly an impediment

Now every degree

Every calorie is siphoned

Red and green life retreat

Into the molten core of

The Earth

⋆꙳•̩̩͙❅*̩̩͙‧͙ ‧͙*̩̩͙❆ ͙͛ ˚₊⋆

Your unburdened being will

Expand in mass

Rime fills every fracture

Stony reinforcement

Fortifies crumbling infrastructure

Guarding against heated plumes of wrath

Past prehistoric boulders

Through the blue crag pass

Once risen in altitude

A thick outer layer of

Shimmering visccitude

Will enshroud, bathing you

In a new gelid reality

Rise to the pinnacle

Achieving glaciation
