How To Avoid Falling In Love

1. Do not allow your heart to yearn. Your feelings you must cull.

2. Don’t sit there smiling, in a daze, for that will take its toll.

3. Do not stare in their soft, bright eyes, for you might see their soul.

4. Pay them no attention, as they enter in the room.

5. Give no notice to their scent, their cologne or perfume.

6. Do not embrace, or graze their face, for that will be your doom!

7. Do not let them fill your thoughts, as your mind drifts through the day.

8. Don’t invite them over for the night, or for a movie, or a play.

9. Release the peace it’d bring to you, if they said they’d like to stay.

10. Don’t fantasize about your lives, if love were to come your way.

11. Don’t think about holding hands, on the porch, while your grandchildren play.

12. Remember love is full of lows, and people are absurd.
