The finger that slipped away once never returned to hold again
Since that moment the distance has only grown
The hands that once lifted me even above the sky
Now tremble they can no longer carry the weight of mine
Lullabies I couldn’t sleep without hearing
Now all the night's slip by effortlessly, without her voice to guide me
The lap where I once found peace, where my hunger was soothed by her hands
Now, all those desires are gone, and we barely share a smile
Has that old innocent soul stopped weaving tales?
The stories that once danced in my dreams
She must still wish to repeat those tales
But now they linger, half-told, as echoes of forgotten nights filled with her voice
Gradually everything changed, I did not even realize it
My dream world was never meant to be like this
Where all the characters are leaving me one by one
That world now exists only in pictures, dreams, and the depths of my heart
Sometimes, I wonder—what have I truly lost?
Did I lose myself? Or the very souls that once carried mine?
There’s so much crowd in the world
have I gotten lost somewhere? How lonely am I?

A/N: First of all, this is not about me at all. I have seen how people get lost, or how they lose something, something that leaves them feeling utterly alone. And one day, we are all going to go through this. We don’t want to lose anyone, but sadly, one day, I think every person ends up alone in this way.

The way you write is very interesting. You feel familiar and carry a sense of wisdom. You write with rich language, and your messages touch the heart. A wonderful writer.
I am so glad you put the note in Sk. It reads like you just lost you grandmother. Your words are so heartfelt and seem so real. I am sure that everyone can relate to what you are saying because of the wonderful way you have expressed it. Nice work my friend. 👏👏👏👏
Such a sensitive piece, you have the soul of an empath <3
This a very sensitive poem that shows us that being alone can happen in many ways physically and emotionally and socially.
Beautiful job on this - it is a wonderful tribute to all those who have felt lonely and lost.
A poignant reflection on loss, longing, and the passage of time. As always you have done a great job in this one
What was your trigger to write this piece? Great work.
A very powerful piece of truth.
Very interesting this poem beautifully captures the bittersweet passage of time and the profound loss of the cherished bond.the imagery of a once comforting presence, it is a very amazing selection. hope it will jump to top my pleasure.
Beautiful and so TRUE!!!!! I was like, what? It feels like a Grandma's tale but your grandma's still alive! Everyone's gonna lose everyone, ONE day! So true... It's one of those things we can't really change about life. Can't bring back the people who left! Can't RE-DO the happiness section. Your question at the end is really haunting, Loved that. I absolutely knew that there was something 'Sad' and 'Real' coming from your side! Great Job, on this one 🤍
This is the ultimate truth of life. So sad but we all have to go through it. Loved your poem!
This was awesome, dude. Truly. I was feeling concern and thank you for the note at the end clarifying this isn't about you. I have experienced great/many losses throughout my life and you were able to invoke those emotions with you words. ⚡💙⚡
