che ore sono? Italian (ke ori sono)
¿que hora es? Spanish (ke ora es?)
Kati bajyō? Nepali (kati bat cho)
Que horas sã o Portugese ( ke oras sow)
Imananjidesuka? Japanese (iman nan de desk ka)
It doesn't matter what language you ask in,
when someone asks you ' what time is it?'
The commonality of all humanity is brought to the forefront.
A deep desire to understand where we fit in the world
How our actions coincide with time and space
where we are coming in this human race
what kind of emotion to carry on our face
time.
It governs often how we act
whether we believe we are on time
early
or late
how we believe the hands ticking on the clock face will somehow control our fate.
time is funny you know
because even though we think we have it all worked out and we use it to help us understand where we want to go
often the best moments are slow
When you don't know
what time it is
have you ever watched the moon rise and wonder how on earth it moves entire oceans through shifting tides?
Sat with someone you love and listen to the way oxygen fills their lungs?
get lost in the ever-unfolding constellations and colours up above?
feel your entire body melt into a hug?
Wait for the rain to stop?
Wish for the rain to start?
held your breath for longer than you ever thought possible when you know you're breaking their heart.
Time is funny you know. We think it is equal from minute to minute but In all of these moments, it feels different. Even though the time continues ticking just the same in every situation. When you stop and ponder it, the moments are longer
and other times it feels like only a moment has passed by but it's been an hour
only a day has passed, but it's been a week, only year has unfolded, but it's been a lifetime of "ill do it tomorrow", "next year", and "one day I'll feel better"
If you said to me Heather, time is moving quickly or time is moving fast, I'd say "you're right" for perception is in the eye of the beholder.
And it doesn't matter what the clock says
or what shade your skin is
or what decade of age you may be in
life will move exactly how you choose it.
get wrapped up in counting your good deeds
the seeds you are planting
the smiles you witness
the tears that fall
the love underneath it all
in every heartbeat of every soul
not the seconds in a minute that can go both fast and slow.
If really looked at your watch carefully, you would see
it reads clearly
the time is now.
live accordingly.
