Tell me, how do you do that?

Talk to me as if you know me,

Though it's only words on a screen,

Make me feel connected to you,

Though we've not yet met.

Tell me, how do you do that?

Talk as if we know each other,

Even though we don't,

Make me feel happy,

When my heart won't.

Tell me, how do you do that?

Make me believe in friendship,

Though I never knew it existed,

Make me warm to you more and more,

Though my heart tells me I should resist it.

Whatever the answer, keep doing that,

Your friendship is healthy;

Though we haven't yet met,

You make me happy.
