How Do I Evolve

Evolution in a broken world

By Nancy LixitPublished 4 years ago 3 min read

How Do I Evolve

Fate whispered to us as we hoped our planet would last this long,

Evolving forward as a species, grasping all our wrong.

These past few years of stasis and fear with privileges quite precarious

Have seemingly prepared us up for this new Age of Aquarius.

Those that fight will struggle, those that struggle will fight.

Our spiritual side bewildered by our reality’s capitalist plights.

We gradually see to change the world we first must start with me.

Only once we know our me can we really help the we.

You’re doing it wrong; everyone shouts. From platforms far and wide.

It doesn’t matter which one you’re in. There’s always a more correct side.

The can’ts and don’ts for those without wealth are deafening to most.

And They do not hear our screams for help above their terrifying boasts.

The Capitalist Patriarchy would probably, label me as sinister.

And I wonder if there is space, in the new world for a

Femme presenting, feminist, polyamorous, pansexual kinkster

A mouthful of words that would burn out the tongues, of our remaining Boomers.

Not enough words perhaps, for our up-and-coming Zoomers.

I sit here in the collective noise trying to hear what matters,

Covid’s back, Amber Heard, Wealth hoarding wallets getting fatter.

Forced birth, women dying, POC still fight for basic rights,

Children getting shot while wealth conglomerates fight.

And then there is my own noise, from the shadow I have repressed,

It calls to me from the darkness tired of being suppressed.

How am I to decipher its message and how do I evolve

When all I can do is sit here and let the collective noise revolve.

Women are for nurturing, or so your story goes,

But we aren’t here to follow rules we have thoughts all of our own.

We will not wear your virtue, our dance is no longer pure,

A healthy hate of patriarchy is part of the cure.

We bite back now, we fight back now, You can no longer stand blameless.

In our skin we stalk, and hunt and we will come for your flesh.

Draw down the wrath from our bubbling blood.

We have seethed in silence, but now we bring the flood.

We don’t care for your taboo.

There’s no end to our immorality

We’re evil in our decadence

We’ll become the Mothers of Depravity

You think we are only here to procreate, but you have been sorely mistaken

We’re dancing under the moon these days dark feminine power has been awakened

The righteous life you used to live making rules and law

Will crumble to dust between your grasp and will soon to be no more

We bite back now, we fight back now, Your control has begun to wain

In our skin we stalk and hunt, We know the art of seduction and pain.

Draw down the wrath from our bubbling blood.

We’ve seethed in silence, but now we bring the flood.

We don’t care for your taboo.

There’s no end to our immorality

We’re evil in our decadence

We’ll become the Mothers of Depravity

In our wickedness we fly above On brooms made from our dreams

Get behind and catch a ride Or feed us with your screams.

In our skin, behind our labels and in your desperate eyes.

The masculine must make way for the dark feminine rise.

Two thousand years have seen humanity roll through so many changes.

But are we ready as the collective to move into the Aquarius Ages?

When technology rules and wealth is power

Who will come to save us in this depressing hour?

We pray to goddesses and gods for our sins to be absolved.

But in this chaotic noisy world, how do I evolve.
