How can I forget you, my dear

When your memory is ever so clear

I try to push it all away

But thoughts of you always stay

The moments we shared linger on

The laughter, the love, now all gone

It's hard to move on and let go

When my heart tells me to hold on and never let you go

So I try to keep myself busy

But nothing seems to make me giddy

For you have left a mark on my heart

And I fear we may never be apart

But if time heals all wounds, then maybe

I can forget you, eventually
