Edge of a Feeling
Feelings of….feelings
Not directly exuding a certain one
They are convoluted
Depressed? Certainly not.
Just often melancholy
Happy? No, not happy.
Laughter comes haply
Lonely? That can't be true.
Days filled with loving interactions
Excited? It can't be.
Not when laced with anxiety
So then, none of these can be the right answer
Yet, simultaneously they all are
Nursing off of their dregs
Longing for the satiation of their full potency

Oh my, this is how I feel most of the days. Loved your poem
