How About a Different Way

How About

By Ruth BeightonPublished 7 years ago 1 min read

How about if nothing was separate

and it was just one

how about if I kissed the soft parts

of your buttery thighs with as much

mindful attention as you just massaged

my brow

how about if my tongue whispered I love you

as it licked the soft part of your belly

how about you receive that in same way

as you receive the lush green of the land

or the brilliant blue of the sky

how about when we dance in the kitchen

we are as much in love as

when we sleep entwined

how about there is no separation

when we are together

and when we are apart

that the way we talk, eat, sleep, and play

is love as powerful as our love making

–how about a different way
