Hopeful Declaration

If gorgeous poems are dropping

like ripe plums--

delicious,

bruised—a bad spot here and there--

They come after I have journaled

endlessly, it seems,

clearing all the clutter and the clatter in my brain.

It must be that, once again, I am tracking reality—

I am getting closer to having

“a little

clarity!”
