Hope Remains

Little bit of inspiration...

Hope Remains

Never good enough

Never bad enough

Never amount to anything

Never achieved anything

Always fell in line

With what was expected

Always toed the line

With what was expected

Between disaster and success

Between achievement and failure

Failure winning through

Failure ruling through

Success was for other people

Success suits other people

But one thing remains - hope!

Yes, hope remains!

    Very relatable

  • Really enjoyed this one so relatable. Every one of us have told ourselves success was for other people.

    I felt that. Well done.

I felt each line. Very relatable. I love that you ended with hope :)

  • So immediately upon leaving my comment on your previous piece where I stated in essence that hope has become hard, I get to read this. Talk about timing, serendipity, or whatever else you might want to call it. To be unseen, yet somehow still corralled as nothing & unimportant, & continue to hope. Plaintive & encouraging.
