Hope

Our Best Friend

By David E. PerryPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

Dear Hopelessness

What are you doing here

I thought I told you to leave

You’re not needed or even wanted

Will you get out of my life! Please!

You’ve been let go, You’ve been laid off

You’ve been replaced. You’ve been downsized.

You’ve been terminated, Don’t you realize.

We have a new partner, our new ace in the hole.

The new leader of the pack, A new best friend.

Stay if you want, It’s your life you’ll waste.

When you meet the new guy, there’s no way you will stand.

So gather your homies, all those who’s like you

Go straight to the front and leave out the door

With Hope and Peace, we don’t like you anymore

Go ahead, get out of here. We don’t want you here.

Don’t cry, don’t moan, don’t put up a fuss

Don’t ever come back.

Sincerely:

All of us
