Hope

I lie awake at night and dream;

Of a life away from all the pain,

Where everything is as it seems,

And honesty is the main aim,

I often wonder how I’d be,

If you had never came to wake me,

A frightened child alone in bed,

Could drown in all the tears she’s shed,

But I’m not a little girl no more,

I’m finally finding myself again,

And learning that it’s not all men,

I will break free from all the pain,

Until one day my dreams are reality.
