Honeyed Lips.
Open the door and scream, holler and shout. Just let me get it all off my chest!

There are doors where doors should not be
And no bloody door where I want doors to be
GOD! Today is a really fracking bad day.
Today is a really fluffing shite day.
I feel strangely akin to a glowing door
Standing alone in the middle of a forest
Or maybe stranded in a dry parched desert
A tiny, barely noticeable door at the base of a skyscraper
A floating door in the sky,
Wide open and leading to who knows where

I opened the coveted door of my heart to you
A door which many have tried to storm
But the battlement held firm, refusing to be budged
Then you came with honeyed lips,
Dripping with gooey chocolaty goodness
You walked boldly in, proclaiming your fealty
Sir knight, loyal, faithful, devoted and true

You trampled all over the roses...drank all of the wine
Pissed all over the carpet made of delicate refined threads
Stole all of my prized emotions, possessions treasured dearly
You drank your fill...asked for more, more and more
Enough is enough...there is the door
Use it...
I have no more of that which I shall freely give
But wait...
Hold on a moment
Leave my heart where you once found it
Happily beating in my chest

Keep on walking...
The roses they will regrow
My heart I am guarding
From the villains of the world
For doors will lead to wonderous doors once more
And broken dreams will find wings to dance.

For though Guinevere should live out her days in a nunnery, Lancelot remain in France, Arthur lie dying on the battlefield & Merlin entombed in ice, hearts will beat yet once again.
People like that would one day be hit so bad by karma. Loved your poem!
😮🤩 Outstanding!!! Hope all is well, or better!
You've owned it, Antoni.
Snap snap snap let em know Antoni! You get a trophy, blue ribbon and all the treats you want for this one! Love the power, eloquence and voice that you used for this piece. Hope you get a Top Story for this one! Fabulously-written my friend! 🌸 Side note: I reached out to Novel. I can comment again. Can she?
Completely agree with Sid Aaron Hirji..., "wings to dance" is an interesting way to look at a butterfly perhaps... Immediately I thought of a cocoon, and the growth of an insect into a wonderful message...
love the hope at the end
Raw, fiery, and somehow still full of hope.
Wonderful concept,keep it up👍👍
