Homesick

The flu of forgotten memories

Homesick,
Belly aches, laughter long forgotten
A misty memory of childhood
How i wish I could remember
Homesick,
Stuffy noses and terrible prose,
Forgotten parchment,
Tear-stained and bloody
Homesick,
A mirage of a safety net,
A daydream of feeling important,
Feeling wanted,
Sticky fingers gripping for the last straw
Would I know home if I saw it?

Homesick,
Inner world, the shattering of illusions, the sunrise shaking off the nightmares, where has she gone?
