Homebound
My Heart is homebound
By Emily McGuffPublished about a year ago • Updated about a year ago • 1 min read

We were kids surrounded by cornfields
Measuring ourselves against the stalks
Our eyes could see forever
Across fields of what-if talks
--
The sun was our clock and keeper
Hoverin over shoulders from morn to dusk
And when night crept in with streetlights
We’d always find the roads to lead
--
Cross those hills to the round about
Over th'bridge and corners round
Take the third turn, no doubt because
My heart is homebound
