In the quiet of night, beneath the starry dome,
A young boy sits alone, longing for home.
His heart aches with memories, distant and sweet,
Echoes of laughter and the sound of feet.
He dreams of familiar faces, voices so dear,
Of cozy evenings by the fire, filled with cheer.
But now he's far away, in a world unknown,
Where every street corner feels like a new stone.
He yearns for the comfort of his childhood bed,
Where worries were few and dreams freely spread.
The scent of home-cooked meals, a mother's embrace,
Oh, how he misses the warmth of that place.
Yet amidst the longing, a flicker of hope,
That soon he'll return, no longer to mope.
For home is not just a place on the map,
It's the love and the memories that bridge the gap.
So though he may wander, far and wide,
In his heart, home will always reside.
And one day, when he's no longer alone,
He'll find his way back, to the place he calls home.
