Home Within the Earth
The place that I call home
Is within the Earth I roam
Where I have freedom to choose
All of my own earthly views
The place that I feel free
Is where there is sky, forest, and sea
And freedom glistens around
From earthly bliss that I have found
From the moment I was born,
I felt this deep within me
That the Earth is soulfully my home
And non can halt me on this journey
As my home is within the earth,
And the earth a part of myself
I am therefore at home within me
No space for unnecessary doubt
I feel freedom to be who I am
Within this Earth that I stay
It may not be fully understood
But it’s not for your display
It’s for my own soul to feel and nourish
That in which it soars
To feel out waves of emotion,
of that in which its stored
To love, to cry, to joyfully laugh
To learn how to be soulfully free
To explore the depths of who I am
Within the Earth that I can see
For home is where your heart is,
And my heart lays with the Earth
I have felt home and a sense of purpose here
Until death and from moment of birth
I thank you Earth for experiencing me
As I experience you,
I thank you for this earthly venture
In which the idea of home feels true
I thank you for holding space for me
And knowing I always have a home
Amongst the flowers, forest and seas
Where other species do roam
You are a part of me
And I am a part of you
To feel home within the Earth
Feels like a literal dream come true
