Finding Home

By Blue DymondPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

What does home mean to me?

Is it a feeling, a location, a thing?

A moment, a person, or the feelings they bring?

My home is so perfect you wouldn't believe it.

It's my escape from the world when my soul needs relief from it,

and,

Home;

The place where I can throw in my towel and drown out my sorrows,

where I exchange my time for different tomorrow's,

yes home.

The place that changed my life and my emotional expression.

The place that my mind always finds peace and rest in,

Oh home.

It took me from darkness, guilt, and depression;

It pointed at reminders of those that have less and,

home.

It blocked out my physical dull surroundings and

opened up a world more vibrant; astounding;

My Home!

It can be in the ocean while im battling a great whale

or on a ship to hear dead men tell tales.

I can hang with the monkeys or swim in the sea;

Tour the mind of Shakespeare or build self esteem.

Home is where I'm happy and finally free.

It's where I can be a princess, knight, or a couragous queen.

Where I can learn myself or about anything;

My home!

It always changes never stays the same.

It can be romantic, thrilling, entertaining.

No matter what happens or what I see,

I'm in control of home just as it's in control of me.

I mean,

Home!

Where I can take a deep breath and finally breathe-

Where pain is only present if I want it to be.

A happily ever after or a tragedy,

My home.

If you haven't caught the drift of this home I mean

Just open a book and take a read,

Find home.
