Home is not a place

I'll tell you what it is

By Amber GracePublished 4 years ago 1 min read

Home is not a single place

no, I think it's something more

it's a feeling, knowing that you're safe

to be exactly who you are.

Home can be another's face with lines that look like yours

or it's a moment when you slow your pace, like on an ocean's shore

because when you listen to the waves, your problems are no more

you remember life is not a race, you come back to your core

Home can be a smell or taste, no matter where you go

you sense it and you're taken to a time so long ago

or maybe it's a favorite song, every single word you know

or something new that comes along, makes you feel less alone

I've moved a lot from house to house and different neighborhoods

and in this moving I've discovered something beautiful, and good.

home is not a single place ,or something you can lose

cause home is just a breath away, it lives inside of you.
