HOME

Homecoming

By John KPublished 4 years ago 2 min read

Home, a four letter word just the same as my name.

Home is a love that won't change.

Technically home is a description and an emotion.

Home feels like bliss mixed with comfort and security.

Home looks like my personality mixed with maturity.

Home means so much.

The feeling of buying your own home brings such a rush.

Trust that you made the right decision.

The stars aligned with precision down to the numbers.

Home looks like the place where you love to slumber.

The word home means taste too.

My home tastes like red beans, rice and cornbread.

& you have to add tonys.

In Louisiana we know what to do, with a place called home.

Crawfish where it tastes no better.

Home feels like bipolar weather.

Always raining, always shining.

Home looks like perfect timing.

It is your birthplace right?

Home can be somewhere better than the first place right?

It feels secure, it feels like love.

Home is to leave the key under the rug.

I see a lot of bubbles in the tub.

Home is my high school.

Just like Homecoming, it always feels good to come home.

Home looks like using my tools.

It feels like my dad is teaching me how to change a tire for the first time.

Home is where I wrote my first rhyme.

I really don't remember, but I believe I was nine.

Home looks so divine.

Home feels like the place where I free my mind.

That word can get confused, used and misconstrued.

But when you know, you know.

Home is a place where you grow.

I’m sure you can find many homes all over the world.

Home is you and your girl.

Home feels like family.

Home tastes like a mocha latte with a heart shaped swirl.

What more can I describe?

It feels like my connection to God.

My connection with my mom, dad.

When I was a kid my cologne was Bod.

The smell of that feels like home.

Football, Friday night lights.

Flying kites in the country.

Watching movies in the city.

It would be a pity not to honor your home.

you can spread your wings but who doesn’t like flying back home.

My center, my peace.

That is what home means to me.
