Is what you make of it

By Natalie NoellePublished 4 years ago 1 min read

Home

Is the feeling

You get when you meet

Someone’s eyes.

It’s a rush of

Laughter

At the inside joke

You’ve heard

A million times.

Home

Has love

And laughter

And snuggles

And sometimes messes

And chaos

And way too much noise

And sadness.

Home

Is the people

You love

Whether related by

Blood

Or

Found along

The way.

Home

Is the pattering of

Paws

On tile or wood

And a cold nose

Pressed into your

Hand.

Home

Is the place

Where all your worries

Can consume

You

In safety,

Where you can

Make your

Dreams

Come true,

Where

Those you love

Will always

Lend

A listening ear,

And where everything falls

Apart

And comes back

Together again.

Home

Has ups and

Downs

And in betweens,

But it

Always

Has love.

Home

Can be a

Place

Or a

Person.

It’s knowing that

At the end

Of the

Day,

Even if

You don’t have

A roof

Over your

Head,

You have a

Hand to hold

And a

Heart

Filled to the brim

With love.

Home

Is wherever and

Whatever

You make of it.

Anyone

Can make one

Or

Find one.

Home

Is universal,

And yet,

It

It is

Universally

Unique.

And

Home,

For all

The ways it

Can’t

Be captured

In words,

Is where I

Always,

Always,

Want to

Be.
