Holy Broken Art

We are the Art

By Tracey RosePublished 5 years ago 1 min read

We are the Art

In this picture we call life

we are the human art,

always unfolding and unravelling,

unto the true colours that we are

The beauty, the romance,

the grace,

shall burst through the darkness

we face.

For the light in love

wins all,

no matter how many times

we fall.

Always a ray of hope

in the pits of despair,

depths of a human shadow

I cannot fathom to bear.

Where is this ray?

I cannot see

I am blind;

When I am present with the darkness,

I unveil to find,

that when I am so still,

allowing the dead of feeling,

the heaviness swallows me,

In surrender I’m kneeling.

I wallow, I am swallowed,

it is too hard to fight,

it’s easier to give into,

the force in my might.

A miracle in surrender,

the darkness we resist

if we do not give up,

the heaviness will persist.

It is easier to give into

the darkness that drowns me,

If I cannot stay at bay

I’ll dive into the dark that surrounds me.

If I cannot stay afloat,

then I’ll swim with the wave

and ride with the darkness,

in surrender I am saved.

The miracle shows up

when we allow the fight,

we are the ocean,

we are the ray of light.

Allowing the stream of tears,

from the pressure we held

in all the broken years.

In the wars through lifetimes,

the years we have fought,

a deep survival instinct,

into the lies we have bought.

Emerging in this time

the war within that we face,

break open and heal

to behold humanity’s grace.

Here we find our Truth

in the search for true colour,

the purity of white,

Heaven’s picture like no other.
