Hollow

You're Gone

By Lilia PetersPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

It’s swallowing me whole

This feeling

It’s travelling straight to my chest

And I’m reeling

Trapped in between

Escaping

And faking

And fighting

And trailing the precipice of the unseen

Happy

And

Sad

It's swallowing me whole

Your memory

Picking me apart

The telepathy

Fragments of my mind that others see

Tiptoeing

Smiling

And hiding

And trying to avoid the torment plastered on my face

Devastation

The

Trepidation

It's swallowing me whole

Your light

As it sparks and fades

I fight

To keep you in my heart

Crying

And lying

And trying to avoid the truth

As it picks at the base of my bones

You’re here

But

You’re not

It's swallowing me

This sadness

That you

Are here

But

Not
