Hold your judgement
Hold your criticizim
Don't draw a conclusion yet
Hold your breath!
Am ugly in your sight
Am caged within myself
There seems no life in me
I have little legs but can not go far
You want to kill me
Cast me out
Abort me
Disown me
Reject me
But wait!
Am on a journey
Am going through a process
The worst part of me you are seeing is only temporarily
The best version of me is about to unfold
Where I will grow my two wings and fly away
And your eyes will behold my glory
And you will understand my value

Wow! This is so amazing! Thanks for sharing my dear. ❤️
Oh my God! Goosebump-inducing. So true! If only we felt so, relations would not collapse.
Irene, this is so meaningful and so beautiful. I am so glad that I was given the opportunity to read this today. This is a life-changing poem and it is enlightening. Thank you very much for writing and sharing this.
People are always too quick to judge others. They should do better. Loved your poem!
What a great poem to use in a preschool or kindergarten science lesson on insects and nature. Good job. In a way it could also be used for beginning lessons on learning about self.
