History's Impact

By Brianna Galligan

By Brianna Lynn GalliganPublished 6 years ago 1 min read

Watching still and silent Eden ,

I begin myself to think

Dream to dream, through Avalons

That lie shrouded in the brink.

Of the days and quiet nights

Now to stare from tapestries.

Belonging to my mind, alone.

Remembering lost apathy.

The suns have drifted slowly by,

Creating each new entity.

They’ve calmed the nerves, caressed the sighs,

In enveloping serenity.

Yet, still my eyes will search forever

To find this state of bliss,

For my road goes ever onward

Past the shores I soon will miss.

So say, “Farewell!” to shores of lakes,

Of mistletoe and ivy.

Farewell to fairies in the wakes

And verses crying, “Ah me!”

For nothing stops and nothing will.

Each beat has it’s endeavor.

We’ll sing our songs till end of time

But life will last forever.
