His Only Rose

A Poem of his beautiful rose

He saved me. I don’t know how but he did.

I thought no one would come for me and I was about to just give in.

I know people all go through problems in life but this I didn’t see.

This was a problem, a painful scene that killed the girl inside of me.

Someone took who I was, took my heart and my soul, and sent her into the fire.

I sit here today wishing her back, but I know she has retired.

One month ago, I was going to give, he left me like this and I didn’t want to live.

It felt so unreal what he had done to me and the fact that no one was there to see.

He took who I was because he didn’t like her and changed her by cheating on what was inside her.

The soul she carried was changed so much, he attacked every part of her joy until she just, gave up.

When I died inside and drifted away, he then turns his head and walked away.

He Left my body cold and empty, without anyone to keep me company.

Without knowing who to be anymore I was lost and broken and stripped from the world.

I was murdered in the worst way possible, a body without its soul.

No way of thought or action just walking dead and feeling cold.

He saved me, how? I don’t even think he knows. He walked into my dreams and then built his only rose.

Needless to say, I still walked a line between my dreams and reality.

So, he stripped away his only protection to his very own morality.

This I know was not an easy task for the wall that blocked his sun, was built from pain and fear itself, and was never to be undone.

But brick by solid heavy brick, it took some time this did.

He let his light sign on his rose so the color could then set in.

I then grew within a reality dressed in red and green.

Bloomed a soul so beautiful that the world has never seen.

I may remember and miss the girl that died within that fire.

But little did I know the ashes to her is how he built me higher.

She is in my very soul, that he took from this dream state.

And know I use her as my fuel to grow high into a new faith.

I'm ready for this new chapter to grow within your light.

Reality never looked so beautiful; my future is now so bright.
