Hip Hop Is Life

Rhythm and Poetry

By Joe PattersonPublished 4 years ago Updated 4 years ago 1 min read

Hip Hop is life, music that rocks your life. If you give me a microphone I’ll rock it right.

They used to think hip hop was for the gold, but underneath it all hip hop is for the soul.

Music that paints a picture perfect scene to me, it’ll take forever to say what it means to me.

Rhythm and poetry mixed with facts and truth. Being told from the voices of the blackest youth.

Ever since the 80s it’s been a show for the world. Now everywhere you go hip hop has taken over the world.

A dominant presence that reigns from here to Tahiti. It’s rapping, break dancing, and even graffiti.

Buried deep in my soul, I could never ever lose it. Instead I’ll make it my life mission to always use it.

No fall from grace, no glory has fell. In this world of hip hop there’s a story to tell.

When a bar is set hip hop will be the best. Thanks to my heroes like Ice Cube, Tupac and DMX.

The fact that we’re here is the greatest miracle. When comes to music hip hop is the most lyrical.

A profound treasure, one that I could never let go. Proud to know it’s always been a voice for the ghetto.

When you first see it, you’ll love what you saw. Hip hop is laid back, but also rugged and raw.

The greatest rappers who can do it the best hail from all over, north, south, east and west.

The people fell in love with it. It made us all in to one and we all flew away like a dove with it.

They make us out to be trouble makers, but we’re really just story tellers and yes, we tell the story better.

There’s always a place for the music that rocked my life. It kept me going making sure nothing stopped my life. No matter what they say is wrong, hip hop is right. Always and forever, hip hop is life.
