Forever Friends

Friends Forever

I think Joan and I met in about the forth or fifth grade when I was really just new in town then.

I'm not sure who was my teacher or hers as we had different teachers in those early years, and that is probably why it took years. to be friends and along the way there were a few tears.

Our birthdays were just three days apart, I would always hold it over by teasing her in front of others about her being three days older

than she would get all wound up, and demand I

was the older one. Then I would wink with one eye

and they wouldn't know who to believe! Just a few white lies from me now and then as Joan was so much fun to tease until I had to leave.

I was married at 17 and gone by 16 and there was fun in the sun with no children, until I was twenty-one.

But I came back and Joan and I and a few others we were pretty close for many years.

There was husband and children stuff and sometimes we would go off in a huff

and still some of us continue on, like Joan and me Friends for life, don't you see?

We have a meal now and then, I have stayed with her again and again, that is for sure!

The best part is knowing we will always be friends. Now, I better give her a call and say, sorry, I need to make amends

for forgetting to tell you I was having surgery. It's all done, and I am going to be all better and I am a terrible friend, but time to move on and lets go visit JoAnn to give her a hand.

As her new business is up and running and doing well that will make us really good pals, so swell, not full of hell. Well, it should be okay to not tell on you even though I have before Boo!
