Hidden Forest

Hyde National Park, Santa Fe, NM. Some distance within the Winsor Trail

Sitting in the middle of the woods, full of luscious greenery.

Trees standing tall, swaying gently in the wind.

As the wind passes by me, the smell of the air is fresh.

The wind smells of cool and soft rain.

The sun is right above, slightly hidden by the tall cedar trees.

I can feel it's gentle kiss of light

passing above me as clouds slowly run by.

I close my eyes and breathe in

placing my hands on the soft brown dirt.

The dirt is cool to the touch

I can feel the Heart Beats of the trees.

Of the birds and all the small critters,

running and flying around me.

The water beneath me and farther below this cool dirt running gently.

I can hear it

the water running through the caverns

and out to the stream.

This stream is in front of the mountain nearby

this mountain sits high and mighty.

So I sit with it

as I sit with these tall, proud trees.

With my eyes closed I can see this beautiful scenery

as far as I can see

As high as the mountain

as so below like the caverns.

Within me, I can see This beautiful and peaceful scenery.
