The day you left

The light left my soul

I try with the fake smile

The pretend politeness

Mistaken for niceness

My pain hidden so well from the world

Still today

After all these years

Being betrayed by others

And re-tortured by those in the past

Still bound by chains

And pains of the world as well

I still have not had

The moment to grieve

I feel the darkness

I accept the fate

I just want the place

Of safety

Security

To screech in tears

To scream in agony

To punch my fists in anger

For days or weeks

To wrench my soul

So it will be empty of this

That I may wander aimless

To wherever I need

To end my days

Which will be many

As my torture will be long

For my soul

As it is a long journey for me.
