To the moment we first met,

The way we glanced at each from across the room,

I felt something so very strong

As I stood in my black and white costume

Not a moment of it felt wrong.

I watched as you walked towards me

With nothing but a smile

I thought to myself “how handsome is he.”

Dressed to impress with style.

After that night,

I thought about you a lot more,

It was definitely love at first sight.

That was something I knew for sure.

With dark brown eyes that took me in,

That was a feeling I’d never forget.

I wondered when I would see you again

Oh how glad I am that we met.

Your hands filled with flowers,

As I welcomed you inside.

I could talk with you for hours

And hope one day to be your bride.

We never had to force our love

We were drowning in it

The moment we met.
