Her Perfect Creation
She’ll become a life long friend
We’re gypsies of the roaming land
Earning a living wherever we can,
My mummy reads your tarot cards
My daddy plays in a music band.

Then there’s me, I don’t have a job
But I have certain chores that I do,
Anything to help make life easier
Sweeping a floor, cooking a stew.

The gypsy life can be a little tough
Moving around from town to town,
Never forming any real attachments
No friendships or family to be found.
***
So I decided I’d make my own friend
From other peoples waste and trash,
Starting with a face with plastic skin
What’ll I use to make each eyelash?

I found the bristles of a wire brush
Painted black, they’ll be so perfect,
I’ll need to sculpture her petite nose
And other facial details I’ll architect.
***
I know she’ll be absolute perfection
Once I’ve fully finished my creation,
We will always be life long friends
Or I could even pass as her relation.
