Her absence.

Mourning in the gloom of the storm.

By Jordan ZunigaPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

Through dismal days of downcast, grim,

The sound of thunder alongside the pattering on my windowsill,

No greyer and more gloomy then my yearnings and longings,

The thrill of the storms announcement ill in comparison, to the emotion that thunders within my heart.

Oh, such lonely days to weather!

Without the feeling of her presence, the joy that she brings!

The downpour of the rain ill in comparison,

To the teardrops that trickle down the crevices of my appearance,

And no less pitiful then the heart weighed by emotion, and sorrow.

To actually feel and to love, once more,

Stirring, flowing, deep from the wellspring of my heart!
