Help me
Lord settle my mind, for it unsettles me in such a way
It lies and changes the filter in my eyes, so that all that was bright and beautiful becomes muddled and gray.
Father guide my heart, for it is vulnerable and is quick to follow
It leads me to depression, wrath, and lust, leaving me overwhelmed and numb all at once, confused and hollow.
God strengthen my spirit, for it is sensitive and is easy to discourage
It gives up so easily, fearful and full of doubt, in need of your faith and courage.
Jesus preserve my soul, for it often feels as though it is far away from you
It is easily inspired by things that bear no fruit and are void of truth.
Savior Help me, for with you I can find my peace
Because I know that you love me.
