‘Hello, Moon’
‘Letters to the Moon’ Poet challenge
Hello, Moon.
Good evening.
I know it’s been odd for over thirty years since I see the moon, even if I couldn’t see it well.
You may not remember me, but I remembered you since I was little—
Every night- every few weeks—
‘I see the moon!’ I cried. ‘It’s so pretty!”
‘When you came, I see something glows- the glowing light from the dark sky that evening.
there was a big smile, like a Cheshire Cat.
it was like a large, round lamp in the sky.
I thought that it was magical like from a fairy or a goddess from the storybook. Nope, it is real!
I also been so curious if the moon were made of cheese? Nope. It was a rock.
Sounds silly, right?
I really wanted to say - thank you, Moon, for everything.
Yours Truly,
Meg.

Hey, My elder sister used to read them to me, and as I grew up, my love for stories only got stronger. I started with books, and now I enjoy reading on different writing platforms. Today, I came here just to read some stories, and that’s when I found your writing. From the very first lines, it caught my attention the more I read, the more I fell in love with your words. So I just had to appreciate you for this beautiful work. I’m really excited to hear your reply!
