Hearts in the Street

In the Eyes of Wandering Hearts

By Shwet Prabha BaiswarPublished about a year ago 1 min read

In shadows of the city’s maze,

Where streets stretch wide and dreams collide,

There roam the souls with gentle gaze,

Stray dogs who wander far and wide.

With eyes that hold both joy and pain,

And tails that wag with cautious hope,

They tread on paths where hearts are lain,

In search of love, a place to cope.

Each evening’s chill, each morning’s dawn,

Their silent pleas the stars behold,

In alleyways where light is drawn,

Their stories, tender, brave, and bold.

With every scratch, with every treat,

A bond is forged beneath the moon,

In simple acts, where souls do meet,

A love that’s pure and opportune.

For in their eyes, the world is clear,

A heart so vast, though they roam free,

They teach us love in every sphere,

And show the grace of empathy.

Their loyalty, both fierce and true,

A testament to life’s own art,

In stray dogs’ love, we find a view,

Of kindness sewn into the heart.
