This poem is for the heartbreakers,
The ones who leave others shattered and alone,
Who break apart what was once so strong,
And leave behind a broken heart that cannot be sewn.
You take what was whole and tear it apart,
Leaving behind a trail of broken dreams,
And though you may not feel the pain you cause,
It's the other side of the coin that always gleams.
You make promises that you cannot keep,
And weave tales that cannot be true,
Leaving others to pick up the pieces,
Of a heart that once belonged to you.
You leave behind a trail of sadness,
And a lifetime of regret,
For the ones who trusted and loved you,
And never saw your heartbreak coming yet.
But know this, heartbreakers,
That in the end, you'll pay the price,
For every heart you've broken,
You'll carry the burden twice.
And though you may think you've won,
In the end, it's you who'll be alone,
With a heart that's empty and broken,
And nothing left to call your own.
So take heed, heartbreakers,
And think before you break another heart,
For in the end, the pain you cause,
Will only tear you apart.
