Heart Sunset

To forgive

In every word, I seek

the way back into forest,

the hand to hold

as I sing to the sky,

I wish,

I call,

I want much more

than mere words can tell,

I want your heart

to know my own

to find your sun

and lead me back

where we still caressed petals

and we played with the wind,

where I felt melody

soul settled,

no end to sunshine

loving trees

carried emotions

on each branch.

***

I loved you from your chaos,

I love you still

when dawn can settle,

soft as the snow

it rains with petals.

***

If I forgive the words you said,

if I go on,

stepping with sun,

I can still find my sunshine

with no clouds,

flowers still know of us

remember

soul melody

at sundown

hearts call each other

peaceful hope,

home is an island

no torment

and no tears.

***

Sky colors turned to amber

ready for moon dance

in a world

where love whispers to butterflies

sunrise still waits

in every corner of your heart.

***
