Heart-Shaped and Baby Pink

love

By T. LichtPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

My fingers grazed across his face

And how the world changed color

All that was bold and hardened

Was now soft as baby pink

And the wind’s lashing tongue

Slackened to a peaceful breeze

And as my fingers closed around the nape of his neck

His head lowered to mine

And there we were in love

Coloring the world around us

In shades of red and pink

Seeing heart-shaped everythings in everything

As if it was the only shape in the world

*

And ever since, the world

Has never gone back to it’s former bold and hardened

With my fingers on his face

And head against mine

The world is heart-shaped and baby pink

Forever
