Hear Ye, Hear Ye, Hear Ye

Crooked characters everywhere

Hear ye, hear ye, hear ye

All buyers must be aware

There are a lot of crooked characters

Waiting to steal your money out there.

Be aware of all types of scammers,

Furthermore, it needs to be told

We become much more vulnerable

As we all get old.

Some will promise a fortune.

Others will hook you on love

And after you have given them your money

Or they have broken your heart,

They will move on, leaving you in the dark.

By the time you realise, you will be worlds apart

Most are very clever and will leave you high and dry,

So, part not with your money and indeed not your heart,

Hear ye, hear ye, hear ye,

There are lots of crooked characters

That have turned dishonesty into a fine art.

Till next time,

Calvin

I appreciate how plainly this is said. There’s strength in choosing clarity over ornament when the message matters.

So true. And it's not just random people either, places like Walmart allow third party sellers but mix it right in with all their other products. I once bought my son a Halloween costume from Walmart.... Thinking it was FROM Walmart. Turns out, it was. Third party seller and was so poorly made. I didn't even know they allowed them. Seems every site that does is ruined in my opinion. .I try and be real careful buying anything because I think of money as time and my time isn't worth most of the nonsense for sale. Great story. Good luck in this challenge!

So very true I have been scammed three times on FB buying things that never arrive. It’s horrible. I felt such a fool. This poem is so true, and well written 🦋🦋🦋🏆
