Healing Patches

...

By Harydo NeonPublished about a year ago 1 min read

I was always scared when things got good

Thinking about when the bad would come to collect its dues

I always thought it was as normal as being drunk on booze

That's what happens when you navigate life without help or clues

When you see the world from a broken lens

When you wake up to see you've weaponized your traumas

When you realize the pity party came with no honors

When you understand your healing was right there , getting auctioned

That burden isn't yours to carry

I know you feel it is where you find peace or that you have to

How much pain would you have to endure for the sake of peace?

Are you willing to risk it , at the cost of loosing yourself piece by piece?

Hurt comes with pain and emotionally-expensive luggage

The feeling of " life's not been fair to me"

Negating progress and healing , so you pile on the baggage

Until they are overpriced and heavy, now guess who is getting stuck?

Let it go

I mean, maybe Elsa was right

Don't let that seed grow

Those magic beans would cost you things meant to bring you a smile

Are you willing to risk it , at the cost of loosing yourself piece by piece?

How much pain would you have to endure for the sake of peace?

I know you feel it is where you find peace or that you have to

But that burden isn't yours to carry
