for years I questioned authenticity
questioning motives of others
was in positions where my heart wasn’t free
scared of vulnerability
three years of lessons
mind in a negative state
my heart unfulfilled
will this ever end
no home within
my dearest daughter
my life to you I owe
you came at a time
when I needed a home
alone, depressed & stressed
piece by piece I was falling
but my dearest daughter
it’s you who held me up
unconditional love we’re all in
a home you provided within
healing for me and a heart for you
structure we’ll together build
a foundation that will never fail
not a coin can amount to how I feel
to you I dedicate homecoming
a home in the form of a human
blessings from god you was chosen
you made me a mom
internal joy, self love, you are worth it
