He was just a soldier God love him
A mothers heart beat

The soldier died in war, his mother could take no more,
She died of a broken heart, left hollow to the core.
The flag was folded, laid with care,
A hollow sorrow filled the air.
No trumpet’s call could ease her pain,
Nor wash away the bloodstained rain.
Her hands once held him, soft and small,
Now clasped his photo on the wall.
A silent house, an empty chair,
Grief echoed in a whispered prayer.
No words could mend what war had torn,
A mother’s love, forever worn.
Two souls now rest, both near, both far,
Bound by death’s unyielding scar.
And in the quiet of the night,
Their spirits drift beyond the light.
A soldier’s fate, a mother’s cry,
Together now beneath the sky.
He was just a soldier god love him

What a great emotional poem to ease the grieving of the past and present and even the future. Good job.
Together now beneath the sky. Wonderful written and very sad feeling about them.
