He. (green)

A poem of he.

By George HallPublished 5 years ago 1 min read
He. (green)

He.

He floods our leaves with unity

Brings wisdom to our majesty

To bask in depths with ochre friends

And musk with floor-bound critters

He offers up his lumbering self

In exchange for nothing

But recognition across nigh lands

As the tone of summer-coming

He trickles into every nook

Traverses babbling crannies

He fronds through-which growth

And settles in rich luxury with id

He groans under the pain of them

The ones who crash and shudder

But forth he trudges, sure enough

Verdure climbing sun-bound

He plays the cacophony of life

Exudes calm of mountain peaks

But springs forward with shelter

As respite for the crowd

He is the might of sage and malachite

Protectorate of breath

Expansive in his lush plains

He flourishes his verdant green
