Haze

It's not just a phase

For best experience, listen to my music while reading this poem.

...

Midnight approaches, our gazes meet

Staring at the ceiling, feeling heat

You don't say too much, that's okay

But when you do, you brighten my day

Society's expectations, they want me to fit

A one night stand or a bride, that's it

But you see me for who I am, not what they say

That's why I just wanna stay with you today

The world is full of noise, it's hard to hear

All the talk and the drama, it's so unclear

But when it's just us, it's like time stops

In the lavender haze, we forget about the cops

They say we're moving too fast, it's not wise

But our love is just like the stars in the skies

It's not just a fling, it's not just a phase

In the lavender haze, our love stays ablaze

So let's ignore the noise, and focus on us

In this lavender haze, we'll never rust

Together we'll face any challenge that comes

In this love spiral, our love will become one.
