Have You Ever Fallen This Deep for Anyone?

Have you ever met someone that simultaneously filled and emptied your soul?

As her eyes focused on me, it caused a sudden stop in my heartbeat for a moment.

Nothing seemed to matter as I looked around at my surroundings in the mall.

While others focused on international events that filled their lives with torment.

I felt guilt for my joyous feelings that put my heart against the wall.

Leading me to the view that my feelings should not be subject to anyone's judgment.

As others should understand that my heart had suddenly taken a hard fall

for another human being who had constructed a loving monument

in my heart, and clearly outside of all the boundaries of my control.
