an exploration of relationships

he wants to see me

to tell me

when i’m near

the moon shines brighter

a luminescent soft light

pulled tides pulling closer

like how we were

when we were happy

in love like

children

running around

a carefree life

quick and light

then

accidentally

footsteps turned heavy and quick

familiar

heavy and frightful

the weight of his hand

thump thump thump

my heart beats out of my chest

down my throat

choking words

losing my breath

memories of

just memories

no nightmares

suddenly

he is here

he soothes me tells me

he will stay

to remind me why

he is not that kind of person

like him

a ghost from before

to help me realize

one day

i wish we had never met

An emotive piece of writing which unfortunately, many can relate to. Congrats for being featured in "Creators We're Loving!"

I felt the love and the threat keenly here.
