Hatred Grows

Life in Rhyme

By Andrew BensonPublished 8 years ago 1 min read

Hatred grows at such an astonishing pace.

As one cowardly act, unites the human race.

Support for the families of those that died.

So many tears, that we have all cried.

Yet, this is not just about the fallen few.

It's about us all, and everything we do.

Anger steals the love we need to survive.

Each word of anger, is more hatred we revive.

It's so easy to blame others, for our own weakness.

We love only some, while for others care less.

It's not religion, or race, that drives us apart.

It's the anger and hatred, within our heart.

War can never bring us peace and joy.

Whilst hell bent on revenge, each other we destroy.

We stick on a label, that makes it alright.

So in a God or countries name we fight.

With each bullet, and bomb that is used.

Each name, or religion that we then accused

Humanity dies a little more each day.

As we pull the trigger, then sit and pray.

No one will win this war that we now face.

This tragic battle, against the human race.

We fight for love, yet love to fight.

Of peace and love, we have now lost sight.
