The absolute song of a sparrow (one more song)

The sparrow in the tree in front of the door

Has not spoken for days

The empty beak

Panting incessantly

Perhaps it is the burnt earth

Not a single drop of water can be found

Or the yellowing leaves

Losing its former green color

The fevered air trembles with hunger and thirst

The pain that tears the earth apart

A guttural cough at dawn

The leaves have shed their tears

The curled body breaks free from the blazing sun's hand

The poor sparrow plunges headlong into the kitchen water bowl

Oh, God!

Why don't you drop a few drops of rain?

Torn by sorrow

Your handsome face

Disfigured after losing the rainy season

The hand that tears the earth

Sweeping away the last laughter of children

A world of landscapes

Lost in the night

The water-splashing revelry of the Di family

I don't know if I can still wet my sleeves

The women of the earth have not bathed for a long time

Torn breasts

Only the dried skin and

A handful of filthy stench

The burning red sun

Stripped the last layer of underwear from the young girl

The burnt-naked body

Telling of a once beautiful

Water - the blood of the earth

Will you revisit your hometown tonight?
